DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
Commitment to Collective Liberation
The Fraser Valley Psychedelic Society is committed to collective liberation. This means that the FVPS acknowledges the existence of historic and systemic oppression, and recognizes that a truly liberated future can only exist if all people, including and especially those who have been impacted by these injustices, are included in its creation.
Psychedelic societies welcome people of any race, religion, political affiliation, gender identity, sexual orientation, class, age, body size, ability, language, or cultural background into our communities.
We advance collective liberation by making efforts to elevate, include, and provide opportunities to community members that come from and work with marginalized and historically underserved populations. We strive to establish and maintain a diverse community which is not limited by social, cultural, or economic barriers to entry.
We commit to listening, learning, and growing in support of this intention.

WHO WE ARE
Based out of Abbotsford BC, the Fraser Valley Psychedelic Society is a diverse community of individuals with a shared interest in psychedelic medicines.
ACTIVITIES
Opportunities for growth and connection
COMMUNITY GATHERINGS
Our aim is to host a variety of opportunities to connect with other community members. Events may include barbecues and picnics, discussion groups, film screenings, guest speakers, education sessions, book/journal clubs, etc. If you are interested in hosting an event please get in touch!

INTEGRATION CIRCLES
(COMING SOON)
We plan to offer society members the opportunity to process and integrate insights and experiences that they have encountered in altered states of consciousness. This will occur in a group setting and will be supported by experienced facilitators.
HARM REDUCTION
As a group of individuals interested in the safe and therapeutic use of psychedelic medicines, the FVPS is committed to taking steps that will ensure the health and safey of it's members and others within our community. Although comparatively safe, the responsible use of psychedelic and plant medicines does come with a certain level of risk. To mitigate this risk the FVPS will provide evidence-based education and supplies on how to reduce potential psychological and physiological harms.

"In the kind of world we have today,
transformation of humanity might well be our only real hope for survival."
